This kit would not perform with an Intel DX48BT2 Extreme MB. OCZ support blamed Intel while Intel support blamed OCZ. I returned both.
I ended up buying another OCZ DDR3 RAM kit and a different MB. While that combo functions, potential buyers should be aware that OCZ did not honor the rebate.
This is my third attempt to post this information on Amazon.

I ordered 8GB of this memory about 3 weeks ago.
I installed the memory, and ran diagnostics that showed the memory working as expected.
Yesterday, I ran CPU-Z (for another issue) and was surprised to find the the memory’s SPD table lists it as “PC3-10700F (667MHz)” rather than “PC3-12800 (800 MHz)” as specified. The SPD table also reported the memory as 7-8-8-28 rather than 7-7-7-24.
If you’ve bought this memory, you might want to check to see you’ve received what you ordered.
Although this is not Amazon’s fault, they are issuing a refund.
A year or so ago, I had the same problem with some Patriot memory I ordered – it’s SPD table reported it as one step below what Patriot had sold it as. They replaced the memory with something that met their spec.

I bought this ram when it was brand new and I spent over $300 on it initially for my X48 Gigabyte board. I had to replace my first 2 sticks to OCZ(which they were VERY helpful with), due to a faulty stick. I received my advance replacement very fast and worked no problem. The rebate process also went very well, OCZ is one of the few companies I’ve actually received rebates from. If you ever have issue getting a rebate from them, contact them on their own web-forum, they are very helpful. I am now adding another set of these to my system for a total of 8GB. I have my system overclocked and this ram handles it well. Its not easy to overclock a Quad Core with DDR3, but the ram handles it, but you do have to use the correct settings and right amount of voltage. Beware, this ram does not run at stock DDR3 voltage, it requires more(a common mistake of users with this). Overall, recommended. OCZ has treated me well and I use OCZ in most systems I build for its performance vs value.
